The deep sea has fascinated me since I was young. I grew up watching Jacques Cousteau explore the worlds oceans and reading Jules Verne’s 20,000 leagues under the sea.
Studying zoology in college and getting to do marine sampling, the sea continued to fascinate me. Though I did not ultimately specialize in marine biology, I continue to follow the field and this website is dedicated to sharing and exploring the vast unexplored depths of our oceans with you.
I have endeavored to provide the basics about the deep sea, both biology and geology and keep up with the latest research.
I hope this website shares some of this enthusiasm with you, inspires you to learn more and motivates you to be active in preserving our oceans and the life in it.
