Vertical migration in the sea
What is probably the largest migration in the world occurs in the sea on a daily basis. Animals living the deeper waters during the day move up to shallower waters to feed during the night and back again by morning. This migration can be so large in some areas that it appears that the sea floor is lift up sometimes referred to as a false seabottom.
